Speed on the sand, at the hotel’s doorstep
On the wide beach at Onival, close to the Hôtel Aultia, sand yachting takes place facing the cliffs. Sail up and helmet on, you race along the shore on wind power alone: a real thrill, in spectacular surroundings.
Sessions for everyone
The local watersports centre runs supervised sessions of around two hours, suitable for beginners and the more experienced alike, from the age of twelve. Instructors teach the basics of handling a yacht safely.
Good to know
- Sessions run from April to September, depending on tides and wind.
- Meet at the Ault-Onival beach point; booking recommended.
- Bring windproof and warm clothing, depending on the season.
