The only beach in the north facing due south
A former fishing port tucked into the north of the bay, Le Crotoy has the distinction of a beach that faces due south. Its colourful houses, its busy harbour and its friendly atmosphere have long made it a favourite with artists, from Jules Verne to Colette. It has the feel of a genuine seaside town, part working port, part holiday resort.

Making the most of it
Le Crotoy is perfect for a family day out: a sheltered beach, easy walks and a village atmosphere. Allow around 40 minutes from the hotel (20 km) going round the bay, and set aside the whole day to make the most of it.
